Projects. Here are some cool projects I've worked on.

I loved working on Hackathons while I was in university, but now you can find me working on some personal projects. Here are a few projects I've really enjoyed worked on.

SafetyNet Winner of Most Ethical Hack and Most Innovative Hack at HackISU(2019)

Created as an iOS app with Swift 5, SafetyNet utilizes Multipeer Connectivity, RNCryptor, and SwiftUI, SafetyNet is a secure, decentralized way for people to communicate without network infrastructure. By broadcasting messages in a peer to peer fashion and encrypting messages by unique “rooms”, SafetyNet sends messages to other devices to allow for a greater radius of message delivery.

Long May You Run 2nd Place at Iowa State's CS-GSO Hackathon (2019)

Long May You Run (LMYR) was the most personally helpful hackathon I have been a part of. Created to increase potential safety when searching for directions, LMYR takes your route endpoints, finds areas of prevalent crimes and provides directions that avoid potentially unsafe areas. LMYR was built with HERE API along with (now depreciated) Open Crime Data by IBM (we also could not have made this without tlc from EC2, Javascript and some Python). LMYR was mobile available, and had an additional optional feature to notify local law enforcement if users did not successfully make it to their destination after a significant amount of time. Read more about LMYR here

The Prometheus Network Finalist in Community Wellness at Medhacks (2018)

The Prometheus Network was created to provide an easy, fast, secure way for users to be able to access healthcare data. Users request their data via sms message, are sent an encrypted version of their data, and decrypt their data with a specific key locally on their device. TPN uses Twilio to handle SMS communication, along with Amazon EC2, along with Python. Check out our official submission to find out more about the Prometheus Network here. Working on TPN was a lot of fun since I was competing in a hackathon with different students from around the nation! This allowed for many new team perspectives that were invaluable to our success.

Stained Glass Novice/Aficionado

I recently started taking stained glass art classes under Dan Gamaldi at Cradle of the Sun in San Francisco. Growing up in Des Moines, I always loved the appearance of stained glass artwork in rustic buildings and have always wanted to take up creating stained glass myself. If you or a loved one is seeking a stained glass artwork piece do not hesitate to reach out.
